SoCal End of Summer Social!

The SoCal Chapter is excited to invite you to an afternoon of community, connection, and all things "picnic." We will be gathering on the grassy lawns alongside the Santa Monica beach to chat, play, eat, and enjoy. Here are the details of what to expect:

What is the event? A picnic with members and non-members of the SoCal Chapter - and their families, friends, pets, and whoever else wants to join! This is an opportunity to socialize with people we know, colleagues we have yet to meet, and important people in all of their lives. The more the merrier!

What can I expect? You can expect great conversation, opportunities to meet new people, and time to connect with those you may already know. We will also have activities on deck, including:

*Guided 15-minute yoga (light stretching) and breathing session

*Guided 5-minute mindful walking exercise

*Beach and grassy patch activities (beach bats, frisbee, volleyball, anything you desire!)

*Good food (brought by you, for you - so bring what you like)

What should I bring? Come prepared for a few hours of fun. We suggest bringing:

*A picnic with snacks, drinks, and food items that you will enjoy

*Beach and grassy patch activities that you would like to enjoy

*Whatever will add to your comfort - perhaps a blanket, umbrella, or pillows

*Sun essentials, like sunscreen and water

*Don't forget your partners, children, family members, friends, and pets

Nitty Gritty Details:

Where: Santa Monica beach picnic tables opposite the volleyball courts. Conveniently located in the grassy area in between 2 Perry's Cafe locations (2400 & 2600 Ocean Front Walk) in case you need food or beverage essentials. There are public restrooms within 1-5 minutes of walking distance. 

When: August 28, 2022

Time: 12-2PM (or until whenever you desire)
